San Lucas Tolimán Scholars is a non-profit organization which helps students from needy families to attend secondary school. SLT Scholars is run entirely by volunteers, so all sponsorship money goes to the sponsored students. Sponsorship is $200 a year, US federally tax-exempt. Many of the students helped by San Lucas Tolimán Scholars live in those parts of San Lucas most devastated by Tropical Storm Agatha, May 29
